Afterscience is a beginner producer looking to music production as a hobby and a way to both express himself and spend meaningful time with friends. Having listened to video game and flash animation music since secondary school and junior college, he gained interest in electronic music after exploring Monstercat, his current source of inspiration for electronic music, though he hopes to widen his tastes in the future. As of currently, his production method consists of closely emulating his favourite songs, only changing the melody and chords, but he aims to one day produce a track with more original arrangement.
In his free time, he enjoys trash-talking with his producer friends, writing autobiographies in the third person, and copying the self-referencial style of other artist self profiles.
Afterscience is an oxymoron; there is no 'afterscience' because there will never be an ending to science. I just chose the name because I replaced 'math' in 'aftermath' with 'science', and it sounded kinda cool to me, thus it stuck. I started out in NUS Electronic Music Lab becuase it was a club that specialised in electronic music, the primary genre I was listening to at the time. Back then, I thought "Woah, I should check this club out." I would later find out that the club foused on production, which I decided to give a try. Ultimately, I stayed for the friends I made and the community, as well as the hobby of producing that I've developed.
