Prior to joining EML, I didn't have much experience with electronic music. I joined EML mainly because I was attracted to the idea of being able to compose my own music. I was, and still am, highly unfamiliar with general electronic music genres, and started with having zero experience with music production softwares like Ableton. I did have some musical background being classically piano trained, but other aspects of music production such as mixing, drum programming, bass etc were things that I was exposed to in EML. Even though EML does not fully go in depth into the specific aspects of electronic music production, it is helpful in getting you started in a way that you can self-learn the rest. To put it in perspective, prior to EML, I did not know what I did not know, but after joining EML, I got to know what I did not know and hence knew to search and look up for the details I wanted myself. EML is also a great place to bond and meet artists with similar to differing interests.
