NUS ELECTRONIC MUSIC LAB
No Experience Required
Regardless of whether you’re a synth enthusiast or just starting out, whether you are a professional pianist or if you’re entirely tone deaf, there is no need to know electronics or music theory to join Electronic Music Lab. All you need is a love for music.
EML focuses on original music composition and production through the medium of digital software and electronic audio technology. Here, we teach aspiring music producers how to create and perform from the ground up, and already experienced ones with more advanced techniques to bring their music to the next level.
Compose Your Own Music
to the World
As the face of electronic music in NUS since 1981, EML provides opportunities for young music-makers to expand their networks and showcase their works with wider audiences, cultivating the future of the local electronic music scene. With multiple performances every year, including our annual OMNIVERSE, our members have many opportunities to showcase their talents.
Diverse Range of Genres
EML prides itself in its diverse range of electronic musicians, spanning a broad range of genres including ambient, trance, dubstep, lo-fi, synthwave, and so on. As an electronic musician, there are no limits to the music you can make.
